The auction house revealed that this string of beads was the most cherished one of the many emerald ornaments of the Empress Dowager Cixi of the Qing Dynasty. Later, Cixi gave the Pearl to the Emperor Guangxu, and the Emperor Guangxu gave it to his most beloved nephew. In 1900, under the imperial city of the Eight-Power Allied Forces, Cixi decided to take Guangxu and other people to leave Xi'an. Before leaving, he forced himself to squander himself, and refused to die. Cixi ordered the eunuch to push it into the well. Most of the mainstream historians think that Zhen Zhen is angering Cixi by supporting Guangxu to engage in the Reform Movement. The royal family of that year passed away with history, and this string of pearls is now collected by the collector Peng Shuiruo. Peng Shuiruo’s father is Guangxu’s calligraphy teacher Peng Shu.
