Lawrence Mark, Market Director at BENBO China, explains the theme behind the new design: “Walking through the most iconic Brandenburg Gate into the Berlin Wall feels like entering a time tunnel, where past meets present.” Unlike the traditional 4S model used in the automotive industry, Bin Bao’s version is a brand-new terminal operation model based on six years of research into China’s urban fashion consumption and consumer trends. The 4S experience includes four key elements: Sell, Sight Experience, Self-Identity Service, and Life Style Salon. It breaks away from the traditional retail model by focusing on creating a comprehensive fashion experience. The space is designed to showcase the latest trends, offer visually striking displays, provide personalized services from top fashion influencers, and host cross-border collaborations with other fashion brands—all under one roof. According to Lin Jingxin, a marketing expert from Zhongshan University’s Institute of Public Relations, Bin Bao’s application of the 4S model in the apparel industry marks a significant shift in traditional retail formats. While the automotive 4S model focuses on after-sales service, Bin Bao’s approach centers on experiential marketing and consumer engagement.
