In order to improve the washing efficiency, the detergent can be formulated into a 1% to 5% aqueous solution, and the glass instrument to be washed is heated and immersed. After a while, brush again with a brush.

For a glass instrument with a tight adhesion to dirt, an appropriate amount of decontamination powder may be added to the above washing liquid. Rinse with tap water after brushing. If there is still oil, use chromic acid washing solution to soak. When using, first wash the water in the glassware, then pour the chromic acid washing liquid into the glassware to be washed for a few minutes to tens of minutes. Preheating the lotion will result in better results. After washing the glassware and the chromic acid soaked, the glassware is washed repeatedly with tap water, and the detergent is thoroughly rinsed (if the detergent is not washed, the meniscus is flattened after filling with water), and then distilled water or deionized water is used. Wash 2 to 3 times. The washed glassware is placed on the utensil rack and drained naturally, or dried in an oven at 100 to 130 °C.

Second, the cleaning of glassware that cannot be brushed with a brush

(1) Small-mouth glass measuring devices such as pipettes, pipettes, and volumetric flasks should be soaked in cold water immediately after use. Do not let the contaminated materials dry up. After the work is completed, rinse with running water to remove the attached reagents, proteins and other substances. After drying, soak in the chromic acid washing solution for 4-6 hours or overnight, then rinse thoroughly with tap water, then rinse with distilled water or deionized water for 2-3 times, and place it on the measuring rack to dry naturally. In an emergency, it can be oven-dried at 80 ° C or below, or add a small amount of absolute ethanol or methanol, ether or other solvent to the measuring device, slowly rotate it to cover the inner wall of the container, then pour it out, then blow dry or With a vacuum to dry, you can achieve the purpose of rapid drying.

(2) The cuvette for the spectrophotometer is repeatedly rinsed with tap water. If the wash is not clean, you can take the following methods:

1 can be washed with 3.5mol / L HNO3 (20%) solution or dilute hydrochloric acid, and then rinsed with tap water, distilled water;

2 Soak in solution I (0.2mol / L Na2CO3 (2%) solution + a small amount of ionic surfactant), then wash with water, then soak solution II (HNO3 (1:5) + a little H2O2), rinse with tap water, distilled water;

3 When staining organic substances with color, immerse in concentrated hydrochloric acid: 95% ethanol = 1:2 (V / V) solution, rinse with tap water, distilled water. Do not brush with a brush or use a rough cloth or paper to avoid damaging the transparency of the cuvette. Avoid washing with strong alkali or strong oxidizing agents. After washing, invert and dry for use.

Third, the cleaning of new glassware

The surface of the new glassware is often attached with free alkaline substances. It can be washed with hot synthetic washing liquid or soapy water, rinsed with running water, and then immersed in 0.3~0.6mol/L HCl (1%~2%) solution for more than 4h. Remove the free base and rinse with running water. For the container with larger capacity, after washing, inject a small amount of concentrated hydrochloric acid, slowly rotate, so that concentrated hydrochloric acid fills the inner wall of the whole container. After a few minutes, the concentrated hydrochloric acid is poured out, rinsed with running water, and then washed with distilled water 2~3 Once, dry naturally or oven to dry.

4. Cleaning with oily glassware

Glassware stained with paraffin, vaseline or other oils should be washed separately to prevent grease from contaminating other glassware and increasing washing difficulties. When washing, first remove the grease, pour the oily glassware into a wire basket covered with thick paper with strong water absorption, and bake in a 100 °C oven for half an hour (caution fire), so that the grease is melted and absorbed by the thick paper, and then placed. Boil in an alkaline lotion and wash it with heat to remove grease. Then clean it by one or two of the above methods.

Glassware washed with tap water often has Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl- plasma on its surface, so use distilled water or deionized water for 2 to 3 times to wash them off. The purpose of using distilled water or deionized water is to wash away the tap water attached to the surface of the instrument, so the principle of a small number of times should be used. Clean glassware, such as washed with distilled water, should be evenly wetted by water and free of streaks and water droplets. It is very bright and clean.
